As an American, why do you think they use a Chinese invader in the ad campaign to get you from leaving your house? Conquered already, why fight back? Everything is fake and gay.

Absolute ripper! And I speak as a Boomer.

There is a bit of historical revisionism based on presentism in a couple of points, but that does not matter. Your message stands firm and (the main thing) your forecast is one I share.

Thanks very much, Keith. I've irritated older readers in the past with my attacks on 'Boomerism', and I get their irritation, but there's a worldview that we must get rid of that was imposed upon the Boomer generation via TV and news first, and they're the biggest proponents of it to this day. It's a way of thinking that ensures our continued enslavement. I'm a Christian so I should never attack people, but Boomer individuals are collateral damage in my attacks upon the worldview their generation maintains.

That said, the Boomers I've met who have kept their minds sovereign and avoided the brainwashing are absolute legends. You're clearly one of them. Cheers, David.

The Boomers you speak of had their formative years when Australia really had it good. Although our material possessions, overseas trips, access to medical care, use of credit and leisure opportunities were far less then than they are today, we just remember the security, the fun, the prospects, knowing all the people in our street, the stability. If those Boomers had to live today with the material possessions etc. of their golden formative years, they would not see them as golden - at all.

These are the same people who formed their opinion of Pauline Hanson at the time of the kerfuffle around her (ghost written) maiden speech. They think she still stands for what they projected onto that speech.

We did have it good. I still live in the house (<100 sq m) I bought in 1983 for three times the average wage at the time. If I sold today the price would be 11 to 12 times today's average wage. I did almost nothing for this windfall, yet most Boomers believe they deserve their prosperity. The cause of the prosperity lay in my father's and grandfathers' generations - they were the "strong men who created good times". We are still living on the fumes of the generations who fought in two world wars, yet we imagine that because we are good citizens we are responsible for all that we see as positive and good around us.

Enough of the past. As you so rightly, Cassandra-like, point out in your articles, we must prepare for serious, significant disruption - probably beginning sooner than the media, politicians and the stock market are telling us.
